Here are a few comparison charts of how social networking sites have fared for the past one year(almost). This is given by mashable, one of my favorite sites. They have discussed the growth of twitter, wolfram Alpha along with other social networking sites like orkut, facebook, myspace,etc...
It is not amazing that facebook is the leader and has been the best with the growth rate of 8.45% and its biggest competitor myspace has a competitive growth rate of 7.19%. What is the word of worry is comes from the baby of Google. Orkut which has been acquired by Google hasn't shown much of an improvement.
