Previously I told you about Windows 7 launch party and the perks that Microsoft offers you, if you are one of those lucky winners who will host the Windows 7 launch party. Now the packs have started arriving and Gizmodo got its hands on one such gift box and guess what they have shown up those pics that were hosted on one of those lucky guy's website. Here they are.

As the pics are self explanatory, I am not detailing anything. But let me point out what is what. There is the party box which includes the contents of the box, a Windows 7 poster, a bag that is tattooed with Windows 7 logo, four streamers, some balloons, Win 7 cocktail napkins and of course the best part is here. You will also get a Windows 7 Ultimate signature edition - signed by Steve Ballmer himself. That's a catch isn't it???

Where is the Apple's money factory???

The Newark Knight Frank Retail estimated that Apple store located on the 5th Avenue in New York City earns a revenue of over $350 million a year. The store which is spread over an estimated 10,000 sq ft. foot space is making about $35,000 per square foot. Which is the biggest cash that Apple is generating in any of its retail stores.

With Microsoft opening retail stores very soon, can they compare to the sales of Apple by any means. This is going to be a tough ask, but you never know with Microsoft, They have got the money.

Ipod touch 3G - No camera but extra storage space...

As expected, the Ipod touch third generation is here. It comes in 8, 32, and 64 GB—for $199, $299, and $399. The new 32 and 64GB version has a faster processor, 50% faster. Just like the iPhone 3GS. Also like the iPhone 3GS, the graphics processor in the new Ipod touch has OpenGL ES 2.0 capability. No wonder they are pushing so much on the gaming front.

There were a lot of rumors regarding the camera for the Ipod touch but it turned out to be a simple rumor and guess what the rumor turned out to be a true one in the case of Ipod Nano which has been equipped with a video camera. This is so amazing the Apple had so many things in their store yet they were so quiet all this while. Funny yet true.

What the hell is wrong with Aeropostale...

Yesterday at day break, I found myself blaming of what I have been doing all this while. Then suddenly a friend called upon me and asked me if we could do some returning(negative shopping) and yes is my answer. I love shopping and then returning. It's like an entertainment for me. So we went to the mall near our house and there after we returned our merchandise we went into Aeropostale.

Here in Aeropostale, at the entrance we saw something really funny. The offer board reads this way," Buy 2 for $10 or 1 for $15.50". We made lot of fun about the offer and argued among ourselves that who will be the mad man to give such an offer. We thought that the offer was for something other but it was for two t-shirts of similar or different colors and we could take two for the price of less than the price we pay for one t-shirt.

We immediately called upon the sales guy and asked him whether the offer was for real and pat came the answer with the usual grinny face, "yes sir, That is true". We were all shell shocked and then had the time of our lives shopping for those silly t-shirts. But I didn't understand the logic behind this sale. If there comes a guy who doesn't see the offer and purchases a single t-shirt, he will curse his lucky stars for his bad luck.

Check out the offer at Aeropostale, it is still available at their website.

Want to add an additional driver for free on an "Enterprise Car"???

Today we were out there at an enterprise location and for the first time I heard that it costs you more than $30 for three days if you add an additional driver to your contract. This is new for me atleast. Then I thought for a while and a friend in our group asked for a discount for on driver as he used to rent cars from the same location. This is your first tip, ask for a discount saying you are a regular customer.

Then we added an additional driver to the list and just stood their silently hoping she will charge for just one additional drivers of the two drivers we added to the list. Then we talked with her for sometime, while she was updating our results and we were talking so friendly with her and praised her saying, "you are the best". She was so overwhelmed that, she started saying"I am the best around here in the whole rental industry". Moral here:: Praise them and take them to the tip of Mt. Everest.

Guess what? She added the other driver for free as well. We didn't pay a single penny extra, even though we had two additional drivers in the list. This was awesome. Basic rules:

* Say you are a returning customer.
* Praise the enterprise guy until he/she blushes out.

Where the hell is my "Discount", mate???

Last week I went to this outlet mall which was more like a huge village fair except for the absence of joy rides. There I had a really good time with lot of people around shopping mostly for their kids as that was the week all schools were opening for the fall. That was the first time I saw lots of people at a single avenue after the dreaded swine flu disease has blown in.

What the issue here is, there, in the mall, I went into some branded shoe outlet store. This store claimed to offer lots of discounts on the branded shoes which included (but not just these) brands like Sketchers, Nike, Reebok, etc. In the aisle for sketchers shoes I saw this particular variety of shoes, which costs me a cool $49.99 and it is on discount sale. Then out of curiosity, I wanted to know the real price and I just moved the top label to the side.

What is the real price? Can you guess it was the same price as shown on the discount? How mean of these stores? They are playing with the customers by showing off the real price as discounted price and making fools of them. I wanted to shout at the manager but thought again, let this guy live his life happily. Why spoil his job, when the instructions are from above (read "above" as in from the top brass of the company). This was so annoying and I had left the place in a jiffy without saying a word. Thanks to a friend who has shown this to me, I haven't been fooled by these cheap tricksters...

Youtube selling videos and making money!!!

This is the first time that I saw a video is being allowed to be downloaded directly from youtube and it has got a price tag for it. The video in the pic above is from a cooking lesson from a famous Indian recipe website. This video is being offered to download for a price of $0.99/download. This is new. I haven't seen anything like that before.

This is more like the amazons and itunes library. Now youtube has become commercial and allowing you to download videos and watch them later at your ease. Right now they are offering you to download the videos in mp4 high quality format. You need to use google check out for this transaction. If you have high speed internet you definitely don't need to buy these videos but if you are suffering with low bandwidth internet connection, you could think about buying a video or two...
