Here's a small SMS etiquette guide for the working world:
* Remember that SMS is informal. It cannot be used for formal invitations or to dump your girlfriend.
* Don't get upset if you don't get a reply. Take care that the person whom you are SMSing is familiar with what exactly an SMS is.
* Take care that you don't show ur feelings in an SMS and become easily predictable.
* Leave the slang to the kids. Get to know that people at work are more professional.
* Remember that SMS can be traced. YOu can't send an anonymous message.
* Be consious of other's sleeping and working schedules. Don't keep on nagging them in wee hours.
* If it's immediate make a voice call instead of sending an SMS for an emergency call like 911.
