Don Review By Adi

Kudos to Nag for keeping his faith in Lawrence, as a director, actor, music director, and            
everything else. This is a treat for the fans of Yuvasamrat. 
Nag has acted in a full length action packed role after Mass, which has come in the same
 combination of Nag and Lawrence. Though, the former proved to be an Industry hit,
later stood as an above average movie. There are different aspects to be mentioned here, before coming to a conclusion on the result of this film.

Pros: "NAG" Yes, it is truly nag factor, which is the crowd pulling issue. He was looking 
refreshing in the attire of Don. The Don thing, is something new on the tollywood screen, though it has been the mainstay of bollywood for years. Lawrence stood by his word, that his Don bears no resemblance, with the Shahrukh's Don.

The characterization of the villain, Kelly Dorjee was excellent. His role was marvelously scripted 
by Lawrence and best portrayed by Kelly.

"Lawrence" He did a fine job as a director. The action sequences were well executed and 
recieved good appreciation from the crowd. 

S.Gopal Reddy's camera work was awesome. It has been proved once again, that none can project Nag like Gopal Reddy does.

The oomph factor has been added to the film by Anushka, though she had pretty less to show her acting skills.

Comedy was generated by the characters themselves and no seperate track is setup for that.

The suspense factor involving the second heroine, Nikitha thrilled many people.


Cons:  Lawrence for his role, which sometimes shadowed that of the lead role.

Music is a big let down. Except for 2 songs, the remaining all are a big headache.

Dance was in plenty, but not by the hero but by his sidekick, which is not appreciated by many.



Analysis:


Nag's introduction, interval bang, 15-20 minutes after interval and the climax are highlights of the movie.
The song "Inthandanga Unnave" generated good appreciation.

On the whole, this movie stood as an above average movie.

Congress bites dust, Way to go Modi

In the recent Assembly elections, held in Gujarat, it was Narendra Modi, who stole the cake. He has won, pushing aside all the speculations of his defeat, by the media. Some say, that his victory has come, just because of the religion factor but many don't agree. Digging deep into the mind of a normal Gujarati, we can find the answers to the questions on Modi's victory.





People in Gujarat say 'who else'. He didnot win by a margin but with wholesome lead. The whole of Gujarat is wholeheartedly behind him. This is all possible because of the development, that he has done, in his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. There may be some blots here and there, but his honesty in his service to people, brought him back to power.

On the other hand, it's a big tight slap on the face of Congress, which was backedup in this election, 
by none other than the President herself. Even the campaign of Mrs. Sonia Gandhi herself, couln't 
generate any confidence in gujarati's.  These elections resemble the hatred of people, against  the Congress led UPA Government in the central level.

Culprit of India's Loss

It's none other than Rahul Dravid for his extraordinary batting performance( 5(66) and 16(114)) in both of the Indian innings.



I know it is a test and you need to play cautiously or slowly or defensively or whatever it is but not like him. We just can't attribute this batting performance, to his poor form in the past few months but also to different aspects like loss of captaincy, bad terms with the selectors, management, and many more things.....

In the recent test, he was no where near the ball. He was just concentrating on being there, in the middle, for a longer period of time. That is good, unless it is not affecting the batsman at the other end. If we observe the opening pair of Dravid and Jaffer, this imbalance is  clearly visible. None of them were willing to go after the ball. Jaffer is also to be blamed, but his little time in the middle, did not affect the proceedings compared to that of Dravid's innings.

Just imagine, scoring 16 runs after playing for 19 overs. This has affected not only the scoring rate but also gave the opposition bowlers to gain an upperhand over Indian batsmen. It's something like boosting the morale of the Aussie bowlers.

Enough is enough let us rest him for a while, so that he can get back his confidence and we can see our old 'Wall' back in action with form though.......  :-)
