Softwares I use... Part 1 - Cooliris...

Let me start this new series with a rather small software used for some silly purpose like viewing images and videos in a refined form. Cooliris is actually introduced as an add-on for Firefox browser. It can be simply put into word format as "Simply the fastest way to browse photos and videos on the internet". This software puts all the images in a particular website on to an infinite wall and you can just scroll through hundreds of images and videos in seconds.

What you have to do to enable this software? Just search for cooliris from your browser search engine and get the download for firefox which is about 2.9 MB. Then after installation visit a page like google images and watch on the top right side of your toolbar, here you can see a "Launch Cooliris" icon. Just click it and voila you can see the infinite wall of thumbnail images on your desktop in a fullscreen mode. If you want to have a better view just mouseover any image from a supported site.

Right now Cooliris is available for Firefox 2.0 and above, Internet Explorer, Safari, Windows, Mac OSX, Linux. I am sure that they will extend their reach pretty soon. By the way this cool software is available for iphone as well.

You can grab a free version of Cooliris for yourself from here...
