Windows 7 Launch Party Gift Boxes started arriving...

Previously I told you about Windows 7 launch party and the perks that Microsoft offers you, if you are one of those lucky winners who will host the Windows 7 launch party. Now the packs have started arriving and Gizmodo got its hands on one such gift box and guess what they have shown up those pics that were hosted on one of those lucky guy's website. Here they are.

As the pics are self explanatory, I am not detailing anything. But let me point out what is what. There is the party box which includes the contents of the box, a Windows 7 poster, a bag that is tattooed with Windows 7 logo, four streamers, some balloons, Win 7 cocktail napkins and of course the best part is here. You will also get a Windows 7 Ultimate signature edition - signed by Steve Ballmer himself. That's a catch isn't it???

Yahoo logo makes a sound similar to "Yahooooooooo" !!!

Someone was telling me today about their new catch. Whenever you get a chance, go to the Yahoo search homepage and if you can see the exclamatory mark that ends the Yahoo logo. Try and locate the dot in the exclamatory mark and click exclusively on it. You will hear the dot screaming out "Yahooooooooo"!!! in a sweet lady voice.

Remember to pump up the volume and definitely it is not safe for work, remember this...

Stop dreaming now, start your day with some fresh mind....

Just thought to start your day with some refreshing comedy. This site phdcomics have got some cool and comedy stuff, go visit it...

Google celebrating the barcode invention...

Google is celebrating the barcode invention in its own way. Just look at the logo of Google in it's homepage of Google Search. You will now see a barcode in place of the usual Google logo. On this day 57 years ago a patent was granted to its inventors Bernard Silver and NOrman Woodland. Just thought to share with you guys...

There is a "Map" for that - says Verizon...

This is the video featuring the Verizon ad that mocks Apple Iphone and in turn its competitor AT&T and just not that. Verizon just simply comics AT&T saying that it is the nation's no.2 wireless company. Below is the video that is an ad for Apple Iphone featuring " There is an App for that"...

Apple's Job offer letter...

You might have seen so many job offer letters from different companies like Microsoft, GE, Google or Youtube, but now I am presenting a job offer letter from none other than Apple. It looks more like a big ipod than an offer letter to me. What's common between an ipod and an apple job offer letter. They are white in color, they have an Apple logo on them and both of them will drag you into the closely knit Apple family. That's where the comparison ends.

But seriously guys just look at the job offer letter, it is soooooo boring. Of course, I heard that the pay checks are pretty heavy out there. If the checks are heavy, who cares how good looking is an offer letter.

Evolution of Cell phone - By Benj Edwards...

Here's an interesting article written by Benj Edwards for PC World website about the evolution of cellphones and he has got some great stuff about how the cell phones and their technology have evolved over time. It is one of the fastest growing areas of technology and definitely, we need to keep an eye on what's happening, what has happened and what will be happening. Here is a glimpse of the article "Evolution of The Cell Phone" by Benj Edwards.

In his Words, "From enormous, 80-pound, car-mounted beasts to tiny terminals in our back pockets, mobile phones have come a long way. What once cost thousands, weighed 2 pounds, and packed 60 minutes of battery life now costs $99, weighs 4 ounces, and packs 5 to 10 hours of battery life and also includes a full-fledged computer, a video camera, audio/video playback, and high-speed Internet access." This is what he says about the evolution of cell phones.

This article interested me a lot and I thought it might be as interesting to you as well. Just thought to share with you. Follow the link below.

Do you know how big is your country, do you have any idea how high/low is your country ranked on the basis of area/land. Here is a list of 5 smallest countries in the world compiled by neatorama, and the list goes as below:

Youtube down for maintenance...

Usually I am a big fan of youtube and all my video and music hunger is quenched by the illegal, copyright infringed videos of Youtube. As usual, today I tried to access some video song on youtube and when I searched for it, there was some error as the required search wasn't returned. Even when I clicked on one of the videos, I couldn't access anyone of them and I was worried if something was wrong with my system.

What actually happened was there was some maintenance going on in Youtube and that's the reason why I couldn't access any of those videos. Generally Youtube does informs in advance of a scheduled maintenance but not this time. Don't know why, may be I missed it.

Find the painter in the picture!!!

Click on the above pic to view it in a bigger size. There is a painter in this pic and he might be the only one who has painted all of that canvas. If you can find the painter within 5 seconds, you are a genius and you definitely don't need any contact lens, but if you can't find the guy in the pic even after 10 seconds then just scroll down for the pic in which I have pointed out where the guy is.

This pic was taken by Sam Javanrouh, born in Tehran/Iran, moved to Canada in 1999 and living in Toronto since then. He is one of my favorite photographers and photosharers. I have learnt a lot about photography just by following his site's feed and the varied pictures that he has captured in his little camera. Below is the link to his site, hope you too follow him and appreciate his work.

Flying with the birds - Oh Scary!!!

This was the picture taken when a Boeing jet of Germania airlines was taking off. This flight was on its way to Kosovo from Dusseldorf airport with 80 on board. Then this happened, that a flock of around 200 birds came straight into the path of the airplane and guess what happened. These birds either struck the cockpit area or were sucked in by the enormous engine of the flight and then they turned into ashes.

There were a lucky few birds that escaped with minimum damage but whats more scary about this pic is that, these birds could have brought down the flight within a matter of seconds if they had hit the wrong place of the flight. Enlarge the pic above to have a clear view of the birds.

Google Wave "invites" rolling out - grab yours now....

Just now saw in LifeHacker that Google Wave has started rolling out invites to some of those 100,000 lucky guys. They have stated in their blog that guys from Australia are the first to receive the invites as it is 11 am in Oz. This is because, they claim that the Wave team is based in Sydney, Australia and hence they are the first guys to receive the Wave invitations.

If you receive one of those 100,000 invites then you will be lucky enough to score 8 extra invitations of your own which Google Wave team will review and invite them as well. Right now they will be inviting those 100,000 first and in the coming days they will be inviting those extra 8 guys whom you will invite in due course of time. Waiting for my invite with my eyes wide open and my mail running wildly....
