Venky, Indian born, biologist wins the "Nobel"...

Dr. Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, aged 58, who is a structural biologist by profession has been awarded with the most prestigious Nobel Prize in the field of Chemistry. Venky had his early education in the states of Tamil Nadu and Gujarat and then he has moved over to the United States to pursue his goals and now there he is standing tall with the Noble Prize.

I am proud that an Indian born has won the prize but I am a bit sad that he isn't from India right now nor were he nominated from India. It's ok but still he is Indian by nature, I guess. Achieving such a prestigious award is less to none. He is receiving this award for his work on proteins that control life. Congrats Mr. Venkatraman.

Nature's fury in INDIA....

These are the heart paining pictures from the state of Andhra Pradesh, India, where the floods in one river has caused havoc everywhere and left lakhs of people homeless and killed hundreds of them. Crores of paddy fields and agricultural lands have now become cemetery grounds for the dead animals and humans. Still the floods aren't under control but a large part of it is over now.

This is just a picture of how nature can show its fury on mere human soles. This is just to show how unpredictable nature can be and how dangerous it can be. May all the souls of the dead Rest In Peace. May the almighty be with those who lost their near and dear. Hope those people stay strong.

At last there is some justice being done to the women folk and this justice is not done by the mere souls of men but by women themselves. We know that everywhere Women are suppressed and are made to lay low, but slowly the world is changing and women are asking for equal rights and just not that, they are fighting for their rights tooth and nail.

They have surpassed men in almost all the websites usage except for a few and just not that, these websites are mostly from the technology background or from the social networking side. Remembering Mahatma - Father of a Nation...

Today is an auspicious day for a whole nation, an important day for 100 crore Indians, a significant day for millions of people round the world. It's the birthday of a very very important person called sweetly as "BAPU" aka father of the nation aka Mahatma, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Born on 2nd October, 1869 he is one guy whom a whole nation considers above God and his statues erected in every nook and corner of the country resemble their love for his eternal soul.

Gates is a college drop out and scored an almost 95% in his SAT. He scored 1590 on his SAT.
He started writing his own computer programs at the age of 13.
He sold his first computer program for a cool $4,200 at the age of 17, which is a time-tabling system for his high school.
Gates and three other high school students were banned from using computers by CCC, after they were caught exploiting its operating system bugs to steal computer time.

Tsunami effects Samoa very badly...

Yesterday there was a powerful earthquake that shook the seas near Samoa and American Samoa and just not that it acted as a catalyst in forming a Tsunami that swept water into these areas. Tsunami as you all know is really deadly and it has flattened many villages in Samoa and American Samoa. The above pic shows how deadly the Tsunami was and how effected the people are there. RIP all those dead and my deepest condolences to all those effected....

Why should we blog???

Why should anyone blog? Is blogging a fashion, is this a trend, is blogging done just to impress your girlfriend or to make others around you look stupid. None of the above is my answer. Why I started blogging? I clearly don't remember but I surely can say that it was my evergrowing curiosity to know what's new. This curiosity of mine has pushed me, rather dragged me into this trade.

Firstly, it was like a hobby for me to write some stupid things in my blog, then entered the new softwares that I used. I even blogged about politics, sports and stuff like that. But in the initial days, I did not take it seriously. But once my audience increased I started blogging on different issues and most of the time the words in the blog came from my heart rather than my mind. But I never thought this to be a fashion, trend or something like that. That's the main reason that I did not tell to anyone about my blog unless asked by them. A very few people know about my blog till date. But let me tell you, who ever knew my blog, they know one thing that there is no unrelevant hatred, questionable voilence, unreasonable use of filthy language.

But these days when I visit some blogs, they are either solely maintained for money or just as a fashion statement. I rarely find genuine blogs except for a few, where the blogger keeps his heart out when he writes something and you can very rarely find an objection in the blogs. But actually why should we blog?

Blogging brings out the inner self in you. You might want to show your anger on some issue, you might want to write what you like about a movie, or you might want to show your feelings on some issue but can't say that publicly. Here is a solution, the blogs help you vent out your anger, spread your love and show your feelings to the entire world. One final word, blog more not to hog the limelight but to flag off your inner feelings and race towards the eternal truth "Living Life King-Size"...

What is today??? Today is Peace One Day...

Jeremy Gilley, a film maker by profession, is the man behind this so called Peace One Day. It was in 1999, on this very day(September 21), he named this day to be called as the Peace One Day. What is that great about this Peace One Day?

This is the day, on which around 192 member nations of the United Nations have agreed to lay down their weapons and stand on one Mission called, "The Peace". This is what really the world needs, not the satellites, not the Mars rovers, not the Nuclear weapons and definitely not the terrorism.
Today on this Peace One Day, I ask you all to contribute something from your side. At least try not to quarrel with anyone today. Try everything the peaceful way and it will work out for sure. Just try and spread the message, even if one guy is going to receive this message, I can sleep with my hand on my heart.

World's tallest man - Sultan Kosen - 8ft 1 Inch!!!

At 8ft 1 inch(2.5m), Sultan Kosen from Mardin in southeast Turkey is adjudged the new tallest man in this entire world. Man he is so tall that he can walk over me(standing tall). That's the most gigantic thing that I have ever seen in our human race. He must be from outer space or someone left behind by the UFOs that visit us day in day out.

He is now newly crowned as the world's tallest man by Guinness World Records. He has some simple wishes like, he wants a car in which he fits without much effort and also he wants a girlfriend for himself and all the love she showers on him. He is more like a tower on legs and he is walking around.
