Remove Recycle bin from your desktop...

I like my desktop to be clean and neat. I don't like all the icons scattered around on my desktop. I just want to have a clean and clear view of the wallpaper on my desktop as this refreshes me everytime I see my desktop. But there is one icon which always kills my excitement, the "recycle bin". I was unable to remove or delete the recycle bin icon. But not anymore. Here is a simple yet complicated procedure to remove the recycle bin icon from your desktop.

Warning:: As this involves playing with your registry, backup your registry first so that you don't have to say Arrggghhhhhhhhhh later...

* Click RUN
* Type "regedit" in the run box. This opens the Registry Editor.
* Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\
* Delete this key: "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"
* Exit the Registry Editor and restart the computer.
* Now you will be free from the Recycle bin icon.

Just in case you want your recycle bin back on your desktop::
* Navigate to the same place as described above.
* Right Click on the NameSpace.
* Click on "New", Select "Key" and key in "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}"
* Exit the Registry editor.

Now you have your recycle bin icon back on your desktop. By the way "Happy Father's Day" to you all out there...

PS:: This hack is valid only for "Windows XP", I have no idea about Vista or other Windows versions. Plz be careful...
