ISB among world’s Top 20 Business Schools

The Indian School of Business (ISB) had been ranked 20 in the global Business
school rankings relased by Financial Times, London. Within a short span of six years, the ISB had made a mark for itself, as a premier business school in India. With this ranking ISB has grabed world's attention, which eluded all other prominent business schools in India. Even the highly publicised IIMS haven't been able to obtain such a high ranking.

ISB is the youngest in the top 100 business schools in the world. University of Pennsylvania, Wharton, USA is ranked number one in the Financial Times rankings, followed by London Business School, UK and Colombia Business School in the US.

ISB Deputy Dean Ajit Rangneker said that, the ISB's joint research work with top business schools, the permanent faculty and research work done by the ISB were the main factors, which helped the institute in achieving the rank. He said the strength of the students in the school would go up by 560 from the next academic year from the present 425 students. Last year 40 students started their own ventures in the country. He said the ranking would attract a lot of international students in future. Five per cent of the students in ISB were from abroad.

It is really a dream come true for the Hi-Tech city(Hyderabad) dwellers, as the top ranking for ISB, comes as a feather in its cap. It would truly attract the world's attention once again(positively though), towards Hyderabad which has been in the news for all the wrong reasons in the recent past. Way to go "ISB".
