Twitter is raving cool....

Just thought to check out this new social networking site and found it was more than just a social networking site. It was more like a party place. I felt as if I was in a club and all the boys are boozing around with bare-chests and the girls were so tempting that the booze took second place for the boys.

Ok my admiration apart but twitter has got some real good stuff in itself. I instantly created one id for myself, http://twitter.com/meetdagirl, but what is such interesting about twitter. It has got so many celebrities in itself, that they have now taken over twitter. You get to know what all these celebrities are upto.

If you don't care about those celebrities, then think again, u have got so much matter other than movies, politics, science, maths, etc that u will get exhausted just by following all that...Trust me it is so cool...

Conficker still alive...

Conficker is back and with a vengeance. This time the victim is none other than the University of Utah, where a large number of computers are compromised. With the highest technical advances around, the university staff could get the virus under control, but only after 6 hours without internet and a lot of labor involved.

But considering the threat Conficker is posing, it is not an easy task for a laygirl, like me, to take over the power of this virus. So stay calm and pray that Conficker doesn't affect you and your system. PLz Plz and Plz update ur system and save others as well...

Why is Google still in beta????

There is a time limit for any product on the internet or the software world to be in the beta phase, but there are some products which never end their beta phase and they never enter the release candidate phase. One such product is the Google Mail aka Gmail. It has successfully completed 5 years of its beta phase with a tag around its neck which describes it as Gmail Beta.

When is gmail gonna come out of beta, i don't know but does anyone have a slightest of the idea, plz share with me guys....

Spam Spam Spam...

BBC today gave out a report which says that 97% of the mail that you get is spam. This must be a fun thing to read but in actuality when u use ur brain, it is like 3 emails are legitimate and 97 are spam if you count on 100 emails u recieve...

Don't freak out or go out on streets with your pants on your head, just stay calm and use gmail which has the most powerful spam blocker in the indutry. I am a fan of Google and I admit it. so what Google has gone that extra mile for this to happen....

Beware of Conficker virus...

This April fools day is going to be a big day for computer users. There is a threat awaiting round the corner. It has been waiting for the past 4 months and noone knows what is gonna do. It has the capability of destroying just the files on your system or rob you of your valuable passwords and credit card details stored in your computer and create havoc. This is not so good news.

Nobody around here has a solution for this but everyone is waiting for the virus to take its first step so that they can find out how to tackle the problem. Too much dependance on computers led to this problems. But as usual we will emerge stronger.

My solution for tomorrow is the age old principle:: Don't connect to the internet for a day.

High Definition icons...

You always prayed for better icons for your desktop. You wanted to show that you and your computer are unique by setting up some cool icons. But where can you get some high definition icons and make your computer colorful. Did you ever search and return back with some unsatisfactory results. Your search may not have returned you good results but here I am your saviour(just kiddin), I just want to share some cool icons with you.

Iphone shows a blank screen, don't panic...

Today one of my brother's iphone which was in good health for all the while, suddenly started behaving strangely. The screen just went black. The ringtone was audible but the controls weren't working. This caused a little disturbance to him. 

If you faced the same problem, don't panic just read the following. If you have been using the iphone for a while, you can easily locate the home button and the sleep/wake button. Just press and hold these two buttons for 10 seconds. Then you will see the apple logo on your screen. Wait for a while and then turn the iphone off and turn it on again and you are back with your ever-lovely iphone...

It is the new Dell Adamo from Dell, my favorite computer gaint. It is brought out as the Apple air killer. It is not that slim but a lot better when it comes to usage. Hope they stick together to make it better than their competitors...

Name in the ancient script...

Hieroglyphs is an ancient writing system adopted by the Egyptians some 5000 years ago. In this script all the english letters that we are using were represented by some symbols. Here is a website which converts the modern day english language into this script.

If you are curious to see how your name is scripted in this writing system just try this name translator for horizontal writing style. The tool takes the first 16 characters of your name and converts them into the same hieroglyphs symbols that were used by ancient egyptians. Isn't this funny. Your name in the form of symbols. But don't write this on your desk or nameboard, people get really crazy about such stuff.

Man advertises to sell wife...

Gary Bates, a self-employed, British builder has done what no husband might ever dream to do. He just did it out of madness or just for sheer pleasure, but he recieved some serious offers for his nagging wife. I thought this is really hilarious, and wanted to share with you guys.

“Nagging Wife. No Tax, No MOT (roadworthy certificate). Very high maintenance, some rust,” wrote Gary Bates, 38, in a small ad in Trade-It, more usually used to buy and sell cars or household goods. Bates, a self-employed builder from Gloucestershire, southwest England, snapped after his wife Donna got on his nerves while she was watching television and decided to place the ad as a joke.

But just imagine how she would have reacted to this episode. If you were in her place, what restrictions would have placed on your husband after this fiasco. I was thinking what if I was in this guys place.

This is one of those websites which is just for providing free stuff to public, actually free service to general public. Here you can convert your  pdf files into the .doc format. They are really good at this. 

You must be wondering why this conversion. This is really a necessary conversion tool which many of us won't use these days. You just can't rely on those heavier pdfs all the while. If you can get the work done at the cost of lesser hard disk space then why go for a heavier one.
