The new Dell Latitude XFR D630 is a really rugged laptop which is a complete opposite to the recently surfaced Macbook AIR. Though the D630 is "IT-Friendly", its look may not appeal to many. It has the look of a device that is used in the war front. I heard someone saying that it can withstand any kind of missile attack.
Though personally I like the Dell laptops a bit more than usual, but I guess this model is a let down. It might be easy to carry with a carriage handle attached to it, but the weight of the laptop is another let down.
The laptop meets the U.S. military's standards for indestructibility (the Pentagon's MIL-STD 810F standards). It can handle extreme humidity, extreme tempuratures (-20 all the way up to 140 degrees), extreme altitudes (15,000 feet) and extreme dust (it's completely sealed).
The D630 is pretty expensive too, starting price being $3899. No hard feelings, but I am not gonna buy one of them, never man...
